Hello! My name is Emma, and I am the social media manager for E.L.F branding. I belong to the youth of current day and I am passionate about management and the trends of social media. I am currently studying in Cape Town, South Africa as an American citizen. I believe the shock of merging cultures has influenced me to be more open minded, and I have definitely learnt a lot about how society operates. I am interested in studying Psychology and believe that the field itself operates in almost everything, but especially in social media. I aim to continue to expand my knowledge, and to take on challenges and projects as a passion and not a job.
More about me:
Some of my other hobbies and interests include writing, music, programming, astrology, and animals. I used to want to be a veterinarian as a young girl, I believe animals are a representation of mother nature and their energies can be very therapeutic for us. I love to write music, however I am not an aspiring musician and see it as just a hobby of mine, only sharing it with my close friends.
I grew up in the lake Arrowhead mountains in southern California, with my parents and no siblings. I had a delightful childhood. When I was about 10 years of age I started making websites using DIY templates. I made my first $100 by creating a fabulous website for our local dog parlor at the age of 10. I remember spending all of my pocket money on 1. Books, and 2. Pokémon cards; both were equally the most exciting things for me. I loved books on magic and sorcery, anything that was total fiction but exquisitely imaginative. I had a keen imagination but never really believed in the tooth fairy or the Easter bunny, and I think this relates to how I am with my work, creative but rational.
I’ve always been a lover of theatre arts, I started acting classes at age eight in Hollywood and had an enthusiastic ‘momager’ who helped me acquire an agent. I still to this day am passionate about acting and theatre. I was fortunate enough to travel extensively as a child, I learned how to ride a bike on the islands of Seychelles. It was a great experience and I think traveling as a child is very educational, I am grateful for that.
Today I am living in Cape Town, a city with great food, wine, laidback people, and the best music festivals you’ll ever attend. There is a special place for Cape Town in my heart and I think any tourist should consider going, it is a truly interesting place rich with culture. In the future I wish to develop more as a person, take on more challenges, and learn as much as I can. I want to enjoy myself and focus on what I am passionate about – Life is all about the memories you keep and the people you surround yourself with.
